On behalf of our client, a leading international premium spirits company, we are looking for responsible professional for the role of Accountant.
The Accountant is responsible for performing accounting tasks and duties in accordance with Bulgarian Accounting Standards, Bulgarian tax laws, and legislation, as well as adhering to the standards and platforms of the company. Key responsibilities include processing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and maintaining accurate accounting records.
Main Responsibilities:
• Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of incoming documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Submit approved documentation for further processing.
• Create purchase orders for all types of expenses.
• Book incoming invoices to the appropriate accounts, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Handle the collection of documents and posting of employee expenses made via business cards.
• Manage IFRS 16 transactions.
• Validate employee’s expenses in SAP Concur.
• Post bank statements and reconcile them with the company’s records.
• Reconcile balances with domestic and international suppliers.
• Coordinate with domestic and international suppliers to address any issues or concerns related to financial transactions.
• Post orders through the general ledger, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
• Handle the posting of accruals, ensuring proper recognition of expenses and liabilities.
• Maintain and update master data, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
• University degree in Finance.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting roles.
• Previous experience in FMCG industry will be considered as advanatege.
• Fluent in English.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with ERP and BI systems (experience with Navision or Business Central is an asset).
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
