Automation Engineer
We are looking for an Automation Engineer.
The Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation systems to optimize manufacturing processes.
This role involves collaborating with foreign suppliers and cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, conducting feasibility studies, and overseeing the installation and maintenance of automation equipment as part of investment or improvement projects.
The Automation Engineer reports to the Head of Operations and works closely with production managers to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Participating in the design and commissioning of new machinery and equipment or other technical solutions to increase efficiency alongside the Production Manager, Development Engineer, and Chief Mechanical Engineer;
Researching emerging technologies in automation and control systems, and assessing their potential application within the company;
Participate or lead potential investment projects in the area of automation and control;
Monitoring automated systems, diagnosing issues, and performing maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime;
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, mechanics, QA, and manufacturing;
Supply engineers and IT, to integrate automation technology into existing systems;
Using daily the Technical Requirements for Products Act and its implementing regulations, as well as all regulations relating to hazardous equipment;
Identifying new opportunities for automation with external partners within the manufacturing process
Surveilling/monitoring the automation processes on an ongoing basis;
Requirements and Necessary Skills:
Previous experience of 2+ years as an Engineer in Electronics and Automatics is required;
With a good knowledge of FMCG production;
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Engineering, Mechanics, Economics, or a similar field;
Good level of computer literacy and technical skills: Microsoft Office, CAD programs;
Proficiency in English – C1 level;
Problem-solving;
Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
Preciseness and Good attention to detail;
