Solar PV Designer

Responsibilities:

Responsible for designing quality electrical designs for the Solar PV systems, from feasibility to the handover/completion;

Work as part of a team with other technical designers, project managers and sales consultants, to create a cost-effective detailed technical design to meet specification;

Always look to improve efficiency and reliability by, for example, looking to develop standard, reusable design patterns;

Put together specification and requirements for issue of tenders for electrical works contracts;

Prepare technical requirements as part of the solicitation documentation for the supply, transport, installation and preliminary commissioning;

If necessary inspecting field sites to observe, evaluate condition, operability of facilities and structures, and to collect field survey data and measurements.

Requirements:

Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical engineering;

Experience in the design of electrical systems and specifically of photovoltaic power plants;

General knowledge of the trends in the renewable energy market and the construction of solar plants;

Excellent computer literacy MS Office and AutoCAD;

Proven track record working with PVSyst;

Communication skills and the ability to work and complete tasks together with other team members and customers;

Initiative and responsibility and willingness to work in a dynamic environment;

Knowledge of specialized software such as PVcase will be considered of a great advantage;

Very good command of English – both written and spoken.
